"Matched, Married, and Managing Life"

                  

"Not sure if ours was a match made in heaven, but it definitely came with a matrimony stamp of approval!"

                     Ours wasn’t love at first sight—it was love at first parental approval 😁. It might seem impossible to find love in an arranged marriage—pffft, how does that even happen? Well, guess what? It absolutely does! We are the proof that it actually works even in 2024 . 

Life before and after marriage has been quite an interesting transformation. Honestly, nothing major changed for me—well, except for moving away from home. And yet, people say it’s so easy for girls to adapt to this phase. Easy? Sure, let’s go with that!

I used to find it funny when people said, 'I’m not ready for marriage.' And then, guess what? I said the exact same thing when my turn came! But seriously, what is it about marriage that makes it feel like this grand task we need to prepare for?

To add to the pressure of getting ready for the 'marriage task,' it was an arranged marriage made even more challenging—I had to find my partner through a matrimonial site, complete with filters, profiles, and the all-important parental approval. Realizing that marriage was JUST the beginning and there was so much more ahead gave me a fair share of sleepless nights. 

From browsing each other’s profiles on a matrimonial site, to meeting in a temple surrounded by family, to getting married and now preparing to become parents—ufff, I’d say it’s all going pretty well so far!

The one moment that every person in an arranged marriage can relate to is those 5 or 10 minutes the parents give the boy and girl to decide if this is the one—it’s honestly a terrifying task! I once heard someone say, 'Here, parents won’t let their kids talk to a stranger, but they’ll happily let them marry one'. For many that one terrifying task turns out to be a magical rom- com 💖- It Does .

From a girl who had doubts about getting married to a woman who not only got married but to an ambitious man who's not just a typical 9-6 guy, but also a gym-loving, muscle-flexing, protein-shake-chugging superhero—yep, surprise 😝 even I was taken aback! So, the journey I’m starting is only getting more interesting. You guessed it—there’s much more to come. 

So, here I am—married, learning, and growing every day. Who knew that an arranged marriage could lead to so many unexpected adventures? And as for all those moments of doubt, I’ve come to realize: sometimes, the most unexpected journeys turn out to be the best ones.

This chapter of my life has just begun, and there are many more stories from this rollercoaster journey to share. From the little moments of joy to the big lessons learned, I’ll be sharing my experiences, thoughts, and a few laughs along the way. So, buckle up and stay tuned for more as I continue navigating this beautiful, messy adventure of love, life, and everything in between .
